Gautrain bus operating company, Mega Express, has come to an agreement with its drivers, ending the one-day strike which disrupted the Gautrain bus service on Tuesday. From tomorrow, 18th August 2010, the full Gautrain bus fleet will resume its normal operations on all designated routes. Last weekend Gautrain was delighted to welcome approximately 40,000 passengers onto the system. To accommodate these customers additional trains running at 8 to 10 minute intervals (instead of the normal Weekend Service interval of one train every 30 minutes) were inserted.
